| We are happy to help you with weddings and parties! Stenkyrka Church was probably the first church built out of stone on northern Gotland - Stenkyrka translates stone church. It is difficult to estimate when the original church was built, but it is established that it was rebuilt entirely and reopened in 1255. The steeple with galleries is one of Gotland mightiest. Here are also extensive thirteenth and fourteenth century wall paintings. |
